Website |

Bob Alper is the world's only practicing clergyman doing stand-up comedy
intentionally. He performs internationally, from The Hollywood IMPROV to London theatres,
has appeared on Comedy Central, Good Morning America, and Showtime, and was featured on
T.V.'s EXTRA, immediately following a segment on the size of Jennifer Lopez's buttocks.
Bob is the author of a warm, poignant book, Life Doesn't Get Any Better Than This, which
The Detroit Free Press awarded four stars and called a volume of spiritual gems
Bob (and please call him Bob or Rabbi Alper; anything other than Rabbi Bob, which, he
says, is too nauseatingly cute) earned a BA, rabbinic ordination, as well as a doctoral
degree, and served congregations for fourteen years. All of this, naturally, prepared him
for a successful career as a stand-up comic.
Bob lives in rural Vermont with his wife, Sherri, a psychotherapist. |

Oh, you could settle for an ordinary writer,
but that's not me.
Speeches, roasts, feature articles, one-liners, press releases, corporate writing, website
re-writes, comedic writing, prescription bottles, fortune cookies, and bathroom walls.
God himself asked me to write the next set of commandments AND movie script. He's thinking
of going less glitzy this time with more emphasis on the funnier aspects of the
Testaments...something that will play to packed Last Supper crowds everywhere. |

Jay Black |

Jay Black started life as an English teacher. After a few years and a few
teacher-of-the-year nominations, he decided to take his high-energy day-time
act and adapt it to a club setting. Through two years in the club and
college circuit, he has wowed audiences with his creative take on our absurd
existence. Jay has the same command of a club or hall as he did in the
classroom during the days when he kept a class of thirty fifteen-year-olds
in rapt attention (Well, maybe not "rapt" attention -- you remember what
your hormones were like at fifteen -- but it was still pretty amazing.) Jay
can work in any room and his comedy carries with it a "soft-R" rating --
suitable for any adult audience.

Since Joe DeRosa started his stand-up career in 2001, he has secured
himself as one of Philadelphia's fastest rising comedians. Though new to the game, he's no
rookie. With regular performances at clubs and colleges up and down the East Coast, Joe
continually entertains crowds with his creative wit and energetic stage presence.
Joe's embarrassing anecdotes and self-deprecating cheap shots made him a finalist in CN8
"March Laughness Comedy Competition." In a televised, two month long event, he
managed to take second place out of forty comedians from the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania
tri-state areas. But it's not always about fun and games. He has also graced the
theatrical stage, playing a wide range of characters in various dramatic plays.
All in all, Joe's just a well-rounded guy who enjoys performing for the sake of art,
passion, and the public. Check out his stage show while he's still nice/not-famous enough
to talk to you after the show
